Felixstowe and District Council for Sport and Recreation

Felixstowe and District Council for Sport and Recreation dates back to 1964. We are the voice for sport, recreation and play in Felixstowe and district. Our Executive Committee is elected annually and meets five times a year working to implement the council's aims. The committee includes Councillors from Felixstowe Town Council, Trimley St. Martin and Trimley St. Mary Parish Councils as well as a cross section of members from local clubs including, at present, cricket, rugby union, hockey, swimming and soccer together with other members elected for their enthusiasm to advance sport, recreation and play in Felixstowe and district.

Who supports us ?

Some 30 affiliated sports clubs in the area with almost 5000 sport players. The annual subscription is only £5.00.

An annual grant is provided by Felixstowe Town Council and close liaison maintained with East Suffolk Council.
